Reducing our environmental impact
We continually strive to improve our environmental performance. Operating in a sustainable manner is an integral part of our business strategy. We encourage our customers, suppliers and all business associates to do the same.
Transportation accounts for 25% of greenhouse gas emissions (GHGs) in Canada, with commercial vehicles accounting for 37%. In 2019, to help reduce emissions and be more energy efficient, we have replaced 10% of our fleet with three alternate fuel (LNG) tractors. These tractors will produce 30% less GHGs, 95% less NOX and virtually zero particulate matter emissions compared to diesel tractors.
